NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF 2026 TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 506 AND 526 OF THE REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Assessor for the Town of New Haven, County of Oswego, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year by May 1st and that a copy will be on file no later than May 3rd at the Assessor’s Office, New Haven Town Hall, 4279 State Route 104, Oswego, NY 13126.
The Tentative Assessment Roll will also be available online for viewing on the home page of the Town of New Haven website at: newhavenny.gov. The deadline every year for filing exemptions is MARCH 1ST.
Dates and times the Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll are:
Saturday May 2nd by appointment only and with 3 days’ notice; Thursday, May 7th, 4pm.-8pm.; Thursday, May 14th 8am. until 12 pm. and 1 pm. until 4pm.
HEARING OF ASSESSMENT COMPLAINTS
The Board of Assessment Review is scheduled to meet Tuesday, May 26th from 4pm to 8pm at the Town of New Haven Town Hall to hear and examine all formal complaints in relation to assessments upon the application of any person believing that they have been aggrieved. It is imperative that a fully completed RP-524 complaint form with all supporting documentation be completed prior to arriving.
Appointments are in 15-minute and may be scheduled with the Assessor at 315-963-3900 x3 or via email at assessor@newhavenny.com. The NYS RP-524 must be fully completed with original signatures and submitted with supporting documentation for Grievance consideration. ALL PARTIES WHO WISH TO CHALLENGE THEIR ASSESSMENT AND ARE NOT ATTENDING THE GRIEVANCE DAY IN PERSON must have a completed NYS RP-524 form and supporting documentation IN TO THE TOWN HALL NO LATER THAN MAY 27th by 8 pm.
