NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF 2022 TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 506 AND 526 OF THE REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Assessor for the Town of New Haven, County of Oswego, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year by May 1st and that a copy will be on file no later than May 3rd at the Assessor’s Office, New Haven Town Hall, 4279 State Route 104, New Haven NY 13121.
The Tentative Assessment Roll will also be available online for viewing on the home page of the Town of New Haven website at: www.newhavenny.com. The deadline every year for filing exemptions is MARCH 1ST.
Dates and times the Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll are:
Saturday, May 14th from 8am until noon; Monday, May 16th from 2pm until 8pm, and Thursday, May 19th from 9am until 3pm
HEARING OF ASSESSMENT COMPLAINTS
The Board of Assessment Review is scheduled to meet Tuesday, May 24th from 4pm to 8pm at the Town of New Haven Town Hall to hear and examine all formal complaints in relation to assessments upon the application of any person believing that they have been aggrieved. Due to social distancing requirements, it is imperative that a fully completed RP-524 complaint form with all supporting documentation be complete prior to arriving.
Times will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Appointments are in 15-minute increments beginning at 4:15 pm and ending at 7:45 pm and may be scheduled with the Assessor at 315-963-3900 x3 or via email at email@example.com. The NYS RP-524 must be fully completed with original signatures and submitted with supporting documentation for Grievance consideration. ALL PARTIES WHO WISH TO CHALLENGE THEIR ASSESSMENT AND ARE NOT ATTENDING GRIEVANCE DAY IN PERSON must have a completed NYS RP-524 form and supporting documentation IN TO THE TOWN HALL NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, MAY 25TH by 8pm.
