TOWN OF NEW HAVEN BOARD SPECIAL MEETING
HELD OCTOBER 29, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
Supervisor Timothy Teifke called the special meeting for October 29, 2019 to order at 5:40 p.m. at the New Haven Town Hall. Roll call: Councilman Dan Barney, Councilwoman Curcio, Councilwoman Patricia Prosser, Supervisor Teifke present, Councilman William Rombough absent
Payments to McFee: The possibility of paying McFee in installments rather than one lump sum was discussed. Mary Curcio will discuss it with McFee.
Tax Cap: The Property Tax Cap has been filed with the state and is available for public review in the Town Clerk’s office.
Exemption Report: The report of exemptions affecting the tax roll is available for public review in the Town Clerk’s office.
Budget Adoption Resolution 2020: Motion by Mary Curcio, second by Dan Barney, to accept the attached preliminary budget resolution adopting the 2020 budget. Dan Barney, Aye; Mary Curcio, Aye; Patricia Prosser, Aye; Timothy Teifke, Aye. Carried.
Fund Balance Policy: The Town’s Attorney will be asked to review the proposed Fund Balance Policy before the next meeting. The policy will be for the general and highway funds.
Reserve Funds: Peggy Mousaw will prepare resolutions to create reserve funds.
Printer: Motion by Mary Curcio, second by Patricia Prosser to authorize the purchase of a new printer for the Town Clerk’s office. Dan Barney, Aye; Mary Curcio, Aye; Patricia Prosser, Aye; Timothy Teifke, Aye. Carried.
IJC Law Suit: Supervisor Teifke has received a message from the Governor’s office asking if the Town wanted to join a law suit against the International Joint Commission regarding the lake flooding. He will get more information for the next meeting.
