NEW HAVEN TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD JUNE 20, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
Supervisor Timothy Teifke called the monthly meeting for June 20, 2017 to order at 6:00 p.m. at the New Haven Town Hall. Roll call: Councilwoman Patricia Prosser, Councilman William Rombough, Councilman James Vergos, and Supervisor Timothy Teifke present. Motion by Patricia Prosser, second by William Rombough, to waive the reading of the minutes and accept them as presented. AUDIT OF TOWN BILLS
General bills: vouchers #145-176 totaling $ 16,406.78, were duly audited.
Highway bills: vouchers #78-94, totaling $ 17,594.59, were duly audited.
Street Lighting bill: voucher #156, totaling $ 280.91, was duly audited.
Water District # 7 bills: vouchers #22, 25, 26, 27, & 29, totaling $ 12,714.96, were duly audited.
Water District # 8 Bills: vouchers # 23, 24, & 28, totaling $ 10,485.64, were duly audited.
Motion by James Vergos, second by Patricia Prosser, to accept the bills as presented and to authorize their payment. Patricia Prosser, Aye; William Rombough, Aye; James Vergos, Aye; Timothy Teifke, Aye; Carried.
Water District Update: Jay Berkman gave the attached report on the progress on Water Service Area #7 and Water District #8. Water District # 6 had its 11 month inspection.
Terrestrial Environmental Specialists: Motion by James Vergos, second by Patricia Prosser, to approve engineers to hire Terrestrial Environmental Specialists for wetland delineation if required to do so by the DEC for Water District # 8 construction.
Loan Resolution: Motion by Patricia Prosser, second by William Rombough, to approve the attached loan resolution for Water District # 8.
AED: Tabled. Awaiting information from the New Haven Fire Department requested by the Town Board.
Court Reporter: Tabled. Contacted Computer Outlet to have them look at what is needed for recording system equipment and installation.
Projector / computer: Tabled. Contacted Computer Outlet to have them look at what is needed for system equipment and installation.
Budget Amendment: Motion by Patricia Prosser, second by James Vergos, to accept the attached budget amendment to reflect the amount collected from the 2017 taxes for unpaid water bills.
Lake Ontario Homeowners Recovery Fund: Councilman James Vergos attended a Flood Recovery Meeting in Watertown and shared handout information sheets.
Shared Services: Councilman James Vergos gave an update on the County Shared Services project underway. Two topics discussed were Health Insurances and consolidation of Courts.
Reports: Dog Control Officer, Code Enforcement Officer, Assessors, Town Clerk, and Supervisor reports to be posted.

Kristina Goodnough: Asked the Town Board to consider helping the homeowners on private roads. She expressed that residents on Butterfly Shores can't get down the road to put in sand bags nor can emergency vehicles get down the road, the road needs stone repair. She also said one neighbor walked away from their home due to flooding and this was their primary home.
